To the Liberty Inaugural Ball that night, the 43-year-old wore a strapless, black and white Givenchy gown emblazoned with black floral detailing throughout the bodice and skirt. The gown—which was initially designed for Audrey Hepburn for the 1954 movie Sabrina—was complemented by black satin gloves and matching pumps.
“It’s no surprise that rising up in a household which knew our mom as a family identify she selected to attract inspiration from her,” Hepburn’s son Sean Hepburn Ferrer advised DailyMail.com in a press release printed Jan. 22, “to hunt the last word magnificence and sophistication reference, for an event resembling this one—the inauguration and the thirty second anniversary of our mom’s passing and, most of all, Martin Luther King‘s day.
