“You reside there for a very long time, and also you had all of your stuff,” Gibson mirrored throughout a Jan. 9 cellphone interview on NewsNation’s Elizabeth Vargas Studies. “You bear in mind George Carlin speaking about your stuff? I had my stuff there, and it’s all like, I’ve been relieved from the burden of my stuff, as a result of it’s all in cinders.”
On the time the fires broke out, the 69-year-old had simply flown to Austin, Texas, to file an episode of The Joe Rogan Expertise.
“I used to be doing the Rogan podcast,” Gibson stated, noting his girlfriend Rosalind Ross and son Lars, 7, evacuated quickly after the fireplace began. “And [I was] form of in poor health relaxed whereas we had been speaking, as a result of I knew my neighborhood was on fireplace, so I believed, ‘I’m wondering if my place continues to be there.'”
